Gerome Berry is a Kansas City, Kansas native. His passion to illustrate and develop stories began in early childhood. As a collector of various types of comic books and graphic novels, most of the characters he favored during childhood were predominantly of a different ethnicity. This shaped his idea of creating comics with more diversity.
In 2013 he registered GBComics LLC and began self-publishing his first comic series ‘My Time is Now’, dedicating the first book of the series ‘Born To Be Me’ to his late father, Sterling J Stokes, who often reminded him that “You only lose when you quit.”. To date, Gerome has created over 16 books and many posters in hopes of seeing his stories become movies for the world to experience.
